Auroran War II

Auroran War II, also called the Second Auroran Imperial War, is a conflict between several nations, Ethalria, and the Great Xargrurgian Empire (GXE).

Coup d'état of the Republic of Xargrurg

A succesful military coup took place in the Republic of Xargrurg, led by Erwin Pipua. They quickly seized the capital and killed President Thomas Kennedy, as well as most, if not all, lawmakers. They then proceded to seize the rest of Xargrurg, while soldiers on the other side fled to the islands of Yor.

Formation of the Axis

The nation of Ethalria was embittered by the Auroran Imperial War, escpecially because of Xargrurg. The Matriarch of that nation, Amalda Harriman, formed an alliance with Pipua. They both opposed the rising influence of the Staynish-Caltharus Empire, and wanted world domination. Mikhail Starikov of Stratarin joined them. Together, they were known as the Axis.

Opposition to the Axis

However, Starikov wasn't Stratarin's head of state yet, so he hatched a plan. Meanwhile, Premier and General Secretary Viktor Drugov attended a meeting in Staynes about opposing the two nations. In the middle of the meeting, Stratarin's Foreign Minister (who was acting as Premier at the time) Rurik Lukin and a major named Lenya Dragomorov were shot by a colonel named Iosef Demenok, who was working for Starikov. Starikov then took power, and said that he would not cede his position to Drugov. Drugov was trapped in Staynes.

Under Starikov's order, Drugov's own bodyguards attempted to assassinate Drugov in the Staynish palace where the meeting took place. Drugov was rushed to the hospital and survived. The meeting then broke up, though all the attendees were in agreement to oppose the Axis. The nations of Tretrid, The Atlae Isles, and Mexregiona formed an alliance to oppose not only the Axis, but also any threats to the three nations.
