The Berlitow Pact, formally the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, is a collective defence treaty that was signed in Berlitow by the Cerdani Democratic Republic and two other socialist states at the time. The Berlitow Pact is the military complement to the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (COMECON), the economic organisation for the socialist states of the Urth. The alliance assures members of military assistance in the case of a war being fought by one of it's members, either offensive or defensive.
