Right to Freedom of Cultural Expression

CRC-2015:1

Every person has the right to express, live- and act out his/her cultural beliefs and traditions without fear of retribution, intervention or discrimination from any other individual, group, body, organisation or governmental institution, provided that the practice of these beliefs, traditions and convictions:

  1. Don’t violate or break any laws.
  2. Don’t violate another person’s rights.
  3. Don’t interfere with the functioning of government institutions and/or other public or private organisations.
  4. Aren’t harmful to either the person or group practising them, or any bystanders or other individuals.
  5. Don’t discriminate or breed prejudice or hatred between individuals or groups within or outside of the country.
