The Communist Party of Darkmania, officially called People`s & Worker`s Communist Party of Darkmania (Darkmanian: Fëlk ë Ärbÿter Kämulist Pari ëf Darkmänsi, but often just called "The Communist Party" for obvious reasons), is a far-left communist party in Darkmania who is the oldest communist party of Darkmania as well as the largest by far, although it has only elected 10 MPs to the Darkmanian supreme legislature during its 100-year long history.
It was formed as a spit from the Labour Movement in 1919 as a reaction to the party dropping all references to marxism as well as dropping all references to "the revolution". Jänus Gäsla, considered the father of darkmanian communism, famously said that "If we want to make a better world, a socialist one, then we gonna form a new party that will put the worker first with a communist ideology". He, as well as several communists, founded the Party on 17 December 1919.
Ideology
The party`s constitution defines the party as "The Party for Workers, Justice and a new Darkmania under socialism". The aims for the party are to either win elections or an armed and violent revolution, the latter one got the party into trouble in 2013, 2015 and 2018.
The party considers itself a feminist party but hasn't added it as an official ideology of the party as of 2019. On 10 December 2019, the Leadership announced that a vote for the inclusion of Feminism as an official party-ideology will be held at the party congress in March. It lost 6 to 5 votes but the Party voted to include several measures feministic in nature. "In our society, the female worker is always underpaid so our goal are to ensure that there is equal pay for equal work regardless of sex. This is one of the steps to ensure the socialist dream" party leader Fërgamste Hïldäman spoke during one speech.
In 2018, the party adopted an anti-globalism stance as they consider it "Dangerous for the Socialist-Movement and for Darkmania". It is one of the few openly hostile political parties in Darkmania that globalism and has called for a withdrawal from World Assembly.
In 2020, the party voted in favour of turning Darkmania from a federation into a unitary state.
