According to statistics published by the Ministry of Interior in 2017. 40% or 116 murders in 2016 were due to domestic violence incidences which is a 50% increase over the previous year. This is similar to neighboring countries for the same time frame. 50% or 145 murders were of all other types and the remaining 10% or 29 murders were hate crime related, with most occurring in the city of Manzulo.
