Crime in Narsora is overall relatively low although crimes such as Assault, Sexual and Theft fluctuate.

Types of Crime

Murder

The murder rate per 100,000 for 2016 was 1.0. According to statistics published by the Ministry of Interior in 2017, 60% of the total number of murders in 2016 were due to domestic violence incidences which is a 50% increase over the previous year. This is similar to neighboring countries for the same time frame. 20% of murders were hate crime related, with most occurring in the city of Manzulo, and the remaining 20% were gang related.

Sexual Assault

The incident of sexual assaults for 2016 per 100,000 persons was 29.9 which correlates to 8,217 rapes for the entire year. Domestic violence remains a topic of concern as the the rate of domestic violence related murders has risen by 50%.

Hate Crimes

The incident of hate crimes has risen steadily by 15% since 2014. For 2016, police recorded a total of 7,912 hate crimes or 28.87 per 100,000 persons of which 55 were classified as murders. One of these incidents led to the stabbing death of a Torisakian man and a police officer.
