Overview
Divided States of America is a current roleplaying game on the website NationStates.
In this game, players may create their nation out of the remnants of the United States, out of a group of counties, trade, conquer, destroy, and make peace with other nations.
Timeline of this Alternate World
July 3, 1863 The Confederate forces manage to push the Union soldiers back at Gettysburg. The war turns for the worse. March 6, 1864 The Union surrenders, and the Confederacy attempts to take over the north. May 5, 1865 War ends with the last main Union forces surrendering in Portland, Maine. May 12, 1865 Jefferson Davis shot down in New York. October 9, 1865 Second Revolution begins. Many states begin to secede. April 15, 1866 C.S.A government removed from power. 1870s-1910 Peaceful relations between states occur. January 6, 1910 Depression strikes the divided states. April 12, 1912 Large war leads to the creation of many smaller nations. April 12, 1920 Many revolutions lead to border revisions and governmental changes. April 13, 1920 George Grays inaugurated as dictator of Wisconsin
United America Founded: Used to prevent future wars. June 7, 1922 Communism takes hold in Minnesota. 1927 Wisconsin takes Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan's Northern Peninsula November 9, 1931 Wisconsin bombs Rochester and Niagra Falls, crippling the Republic of New York's Great Lakes Fleet. May 8, 1939 War ends, and Wisconsin's territories are divided into smaller countries.
North American Alliance (NAA) founded 1940-1990s Isolation Pact signed by much of the North American continent. 1990 NAA invades Floridan Fascist Republic over the issue of WMDs. August 10, 1994 Dictator Juan Juarez of Florida killed. Last fascist state in America falls. To the present Relative prosperity in the Americas. Some fueds, however, still remain....
