The Dukedom of Trevalon is a title in the High Nobility of Ferrodwiyin that has been created three times. It has been held by several members of the House of Sirene.

The current Dukedom of Trevalon was created in 1741 for Prince Martin, only son of Johanna I of Ferrodwiyin by her second marriage to Lord Matthew de Nenci. The current holder of the title is Patrick du Sirene-Nenci, 5th Duke of Trevalon.

1257 creation

The title was first created for John of Sak, elder son of the third child of King Arnauld II. John died without legitimate issue in 1276 and the title became extinct.

1587 creation

The second creation of the Dukedom was awarded to Prince Giovanni of Virycova, younger son of the future King Emil III. Giovanni died in 1642 and his son Prince Arthur succeeded him as second Duke. Arthur died in combat three years later unmarried and without issue and the title became extinct once more.

1741 creation

In 1740, Johanna married Lord Matthew de Nenci, second son of the Duke of Renaux, after Ferdinand II committed suicide. From this marriage she bore one son, Prince Martin, who was created Duke after his birth in 1741. This birth founded the Sirene-Nenci branch of both the Imperial and Ducal families, which became one of the most influential families in the realm. However, the Trevalons are ineligible to inherit the Dukedom of Renaux. Martin died in 1823 and was succeeded by his eldest son Prince Johann, who died prematurely in 1825 and was succeeded by his brother Prince Rufus, who was created Prince Sirene-Nenci after his participation in the War of the Golden Crates against the Bedorians with special remainder to his second son. The fourth Duke, William, succeeded to the title in 1896 and was predeceased by his elder son Martin. The current Duke, Patrick (b. 1943), succeeded to the dukedom after William's death at ninety-seven in 1952. His heir apparent is his only child Johann, Marquess of Faithjoun, whose heir presumptive is his only daughter Lady Carmen du Sirene-Nenci, styled Baroness of Coirlensburg as heiress presumptive, although Lady Coirlensburg can be displaced should Lord Faithjoun have a son. If this happens, the courtesy barony would be reverted to the Duke and Lord Faithjoun's son would be styles Viscount Akle until his father's accession to the title.

Subsidiary titles

The Dukes have held several subsidiary titles. The ones granted at the last creation are Marquess of Faithjoun, Viscount Akle, and Baron of Coirlensburg. In 1899, the fourth Duke was created Count Sirene-Nenci by King Albert II of Bedoria.

Residence

The Duke’s ancestral seat is Bressac Abbey, Renaux. Lord Faithjoun and his family reside in Lyméne Hall. The Trevalons also own Aedaria Manor in Thorb, Trevalon House in Andalacia, and Nenci House in Orsenon.
