Dzera

Dzera is a Cossack Autonomous Colony, under the official governance of the Cossack Khanate. Dzera is the largest and most productive colony of the Khanate, and also the one most culturally attached to the Khanate. Although the Governor of Dzera and the Imperator technically have absolute power, Dzera has a locally elected legislature, a separate police and military body, and a separate constitution.

The majority of Dzera is rural, however still developed. The capital, Vehr, is a large contributor to the Cossack online infrastructure, with Information Technology a major industry there.

History

In 1996, Cossack naval forces came ashore on uninhabited coastal plains, which seemed to show promise for agriculture. Several months later, a group of Cossack colonists from various districts, numbering around 200, came to the plains. When asked to come up with name to call this colony, future Governor Vulian Korels said “Dzera”, giving rise to the name of the colony.

Economic Output

As of 2018, Dzera ranks in the top 5% of the world for agriculture, its main source of income. Fishing is also very popular, followed by automobile manufacturing and information technology. However, technology is limited to Vehr, its capital and its populace is focussed on agriculture.

Laws

The Dzeran populace is mainly governed by acts specified in the Khanate’s legislature, but not all Khanate laws apply. For example, Dzerans can buy any type of firearm available, and in the 45-60 age group, 78% of males owned sub or light machine guns (32% of Females).
