The Federal Republic of Cerdani , often referred to as West Cerdani, is a Unitary Presidential Republic located in Southeastern Gondwana. The capitol and largest city is Bohnn and it is also the main cultural and commercial centre.

Geography
The total land area of West Cerdani is 154,550km². The highest point in The Cerdani Republic, Mt Tisy, which peaks at 1008 meters above sea level is located in the northwest of the state.
Climate & Weather
West Cerdani has a Mediterranean climate with semi-arid influence. West Cerdani is generally very sunny, receiving around 164 clear days annually. In the winter the temperature is mild with daily highs averaging around 20 °C (68 °F). Most of the yearly rainfall falls throughout winter. In the summer months, Cerdani averages 32–33 °C (90–91 °F), with some days over 40 °C (104 °F). Both West and East Cerdani have virtually the same weather conditions.
Ecology
The ecosystems of Cerdani are ecologically diverse, ranging from dense forests to open rolling grasslands.
Government
The Federal Republic of Cerdani is a Presidential Republic where a President is elected via popular vote. The National Chamber is the unicameral legislature of BRD. The Current ruling party of West Cerdani is the Democratic Unity Party of Cerdani.
Foreign Relations
Position towards East Cerdani
The official position of West Cerdani concerning East Cerdani is that the West Cerdani government is the only democratically elected, and therefore the only legitimate, representative of the Cerdan people. According to the Wallsten Doctrine, any country that recognises the authorities of the Cerdani Democratic Republic will not have full diplomatic relations with West Cerdani. Currently West & East Cerdani maintain no formal communication or recognition between either.
Military

The Cerdan Defense Forces are the professional military forces of the BRD. Troops in The Republic Defense Forces are volunteer only and enlistees must be a citizen born in Cerdani.
Economy
East Cerdani’s economy is a mixed market capitalist economy with many laissez faire elements and policies. Many key industries such as rail, air and public transport have been privatised or denationalised.

Personal transportation is mostly done by automobile in West Cerdani. Compared to its neighbour and many other countries, The BRD has a miniscule public transport system comprising of buses and a tram network.

The national airline of The BRD, Fly Cerdani is privately owned along with most major airports in Cerdani.

Water in West Cerdani either comes from natural springs or rain collection.
Healthcare & Social Services
West Cerdani has limited public social services. Although there are public hospitals they are severely underfunded and often overcrowded. Many hospitals, clinics and social insurance services are private. The vast majority of the population have some form of private insurance or healthcare.
Education
West Cerdani promotes universal and compulsory education for all ages. Majority of the education system is private, however there are a few public schools in the major cities.
