Forum 7

Forum 7 was skipped in the numbers of publicly visible NationStates forums before the switch to Jolt in 2004. There was a forum 6 and 8, but not a 7. Players speculated that it had to be a forum that only moderators could see, but that didn't stop conspiracy theories from developing. In fact, many conspiracy theories were formed around this mysterious "Forum 7."

On April 1st of 2004, Reploid Productions, then endowed with full forum admin powers on the phpBB board created a public forum entitled "Forum 7" which remained public with Max Barry's blessing until shortly before the switch to Jolt. This forum was home to rabid speculation over even more conspiracies, as well as endless quote temples (quote pyramids - made out of many blank quote messages). Another, deeper, conspiracy developed as it was found that "Forum 7" was really numbered 13. Besides the conspiracy theories, Forum 7 served as a combination spam and silliness forum, as well as an unusual bastion of moderator worship in a marked contrast from the then-prevalent complaints by a handful of users in the Moderation section of the boards. Ultimately, the forum had to be shut down when it began to seriously hamper the already stressed server hosting the forums.

On June 29 2009, Forum 7 was recreated on the relaunched forums, numbered 25, while forum number 7 itself was used for NS Sports.

Incidentally, an anagram of 'Forum Seven' is 'Removes Fun'.
