Preface

The Socialist Democracy of Gregenia commonly called Gregenia, is a Social Democracy located in Central Asia. It is bordered on the north by Siberia and on the south, east and west by China. Gregenia covers 1,566,000 square kilometers and has has an estimated population of 1.32 million. Gregenia comprises of 5 regions. Gregenia is a developed and modern country, with a GDP of 111 trillion Nuggets. The economy is mostly run by the Wood chip Exports industry, with significant contributions from Basket Weaving, Automobile Manufacturing, and Cheese Exports. Gregenia ranks low in civil rights, political freedom but high economic freedom. Gregenia is a recognized as a Superpower, as well as a member of many organizations and treaties.

History

Revolutionary Gregenia (1984-1986)

Two months after the beginning of 1984 the founders of Gregenia Viktor Reznov and Gregen Slavikan declared independence from the Soviet Union along side the entire city of Golangrad after noticing the reality of how horrible and oppressive the nation was. The company located in the vicinity of the city moved in to control the situation but one of the Gregenians shot at the infantrymen with a AK-47, killing 4, starting the Gregenian War for Independence The initial battles were fought in Kazakhstan until the rebels were pushed swiftly into the Mongolian region of the USSR leading to most of the fighting in Mongolia. In December of 1985 the entire Mongolian sector was under control of the Rebels after a long gurrila war campaign. In January of 1986 Gregenia became fully independent from the USSR after NATO threatened to get involved.

Socialist Democracy of Gregenia and The Fall of a Union(1986-1988)

The Recently independent rebels declared themselves as a Socialist Democracy to stay close to their beliefs and roots with the exception of making it more open to the west. In 1987 Siberia declared independence from the USSR further weakening the Union, Gregenia supported Siberia. In 1988 Siberia became fully independent and became a Federal Republic. Although Gregenia did not support this type of government at the time, both nations maintained friendly relations, leading to trade and embassies between these nations. These events later caused the Soviet Union to fall and split into Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan therefore, ending The Cold War.

Early Gregenia and Its Conflicts (1989-1994)

In 1989 Gregenia was still new and developing, but that year Gregenia officially had its Constitution, First Supreme Director (S.D. Viktor Reznov) and began to modernize and westernize. The following year in 1990 Gregenia went through a heart disease epidemic and was caused by a popular food called Larddergaut that caused cholesterol and high blood pressure and was banned a within several months. Gregenia would not go back to normal rates untill 2009. During the Summer of 1994 Gregenia and China were the greatest powers in Asia as well the greatest rivalry after a attempted assassination of SD. Karl Gorbichov, Gregenias Suprmeme Director and quickly was recognized as a attack from the Chinese. A year later the rivalry got to a point were a Gregenian Officer Shot a Chinese Border Guard, Starting the Sino-Gregenian War.

The Sino-Gregenian War (1994-1999)

The beginning of the war instantly was in favor of the Chinese due to them outnumbering Gregenia 1 to 4. after the 1st Year of the war Half of Gregenia was occupied by China and was slowly moving towards the capital, endangering the existence of Gregenia. in late 1996 the line came to a halt at Viktor City and at this point Gregenia started arming civilians with weapons and sent them to the front lines and was virtually a death sentence due to the lack of training. The line was locked at this position for the next year and a half. May of 1996 came a new member to the war, Siberia, a historical friend of Gregenia, leading to the line to be in favor of Gregenia pushing China all the way back to the border. In 1997 to 1999 Gregenia pushed into Manchuria, a low resistance area of China, throughout 1997 Gregenia fought in Manchuria until Gregenia was at the borders of the Beijing capital building. China surrendered in order to not to lose the rest of the capital. Gregenia gained Manchuria and Beijing since it was in Gregenian territory during the war, Leading to the capital of China to be moved to Shanghai.

Gregenia and The New Melenium (2000-Present)

. In 2009, Gregenia started GASA, a space agency and have been traveling and researching space to this day. In 2017, Gregenia went into The Gregenian Civil War after Fort Yuri and the surrounding Land for 5,000 Miles. These rebels wanted to overthrow Gregenia and change the government to a Federal Republic. After three months it was the shortest war in Gregenian history and resulted in a Gregenian victory after Fort Yuri was put under a siege for 2 weeks. In 2019, Gregenia Experienced The Peninsula Crisis with North Korea after they stole a nuclear warhead from Gregenia. North Korea lost and was annexed as the 4th Region of Gregenia.

Gregenia is a Social Democracy, In which, the government is under a socialist system of government achieved by democratic means of politics.The Supreme Director is elected by popular vote and seats in the People's Party Council, for a four year term (eligible for a second term, but not a third consecutive term).

The People's Party Council has 400 seats, each sharing a part of a party they support. Seats are updated by the people in that seat every 2 years. If you have seats in your party you can be eligible for that ideology to be implemented into National Assembly or Executive positions.

There are three levels of government: federal, regional, and local.

• Local Government: Contains the mayor, public services such as fire , police and medical departments and solves local problems.
• Regional Government: Contains elected representatives or governors, over-watches and control local governments and controls regional problems.
• Federal Government: Located in the capital, the federal government contains the advisers and Supreme Director and is responsible for national polices, national censuses, government spending and focuses, diplomacy, military and the economy.

The Federal Government is composed of three branches: Executive ,National Assembly and Judicial.

• Executive: Lead by the Supreme Director and the advisers. Has the power to accept or veto laws, make national records, sets government spending and conducts diplomacy.
• National Assembly: Made up of the House of Legislation and the House of Representatives. Makes law, declares war, authorize government spending and approves treaties.
• Judaical: Made up of the Supreme Court and lower regional and local courts. Has the power of judicial review, and is the highest legal authority.

Regions

Gregenia is split into 5 Regions and are split into counties to make elections and party popularity manageable.Regions hold all power except what the federal government holds. This means that they must have a democratic style of government, obey the Constitution, as well as remain below the federal government to be considered a region if not, it will be recognized as a territory therefore, a unilaterally secession from Gregenia cannot happen without conflict. Beyond this, they are fully autonomous: they can ratify legislation, freely organize their local governments (in accordance with the Constitution), and own and manage their own natural and financial resources. Every Region has a bicameral legislature, similar to that of the federal legislature.

Every Region has a Legislator and Representative in the National Assembly (One for the House of Legislation and one for the House of Representatives).
