Hermann Lothar Ferdinand Glöckner (16 April 1882 – 23 January 1910) was a Rotgeheiman officer in the Verteidigungsstaffel. He is best known for his actions during several humanitarian and peacekeeping missions throughout the world, during which he was heavily decorated. Glöckner served in the 1st VS-Panzer Division Kaiser Florian von Horn before its rise to international fame, and was distinguished as one of the leading figures in pioneering company-level command over armor units. He attended secondary school with Florian III and the pair were good friends.

Glöckner was killed in a training mishap involving a fragmentation grenade on 23 January 1910. While exiting the hatch of his command tank, a grenade he was holding became snagged on the lid of the hatch. In the snag, the grenade's pin was pulled off and the the handle was discharged, detonating the grenade. Glöckner attempted to avoid the ensuing explosion but was mortally wounded in the effort. He died minutes later. Because of his contributions to armored warfare and to the Rotgeheiman Empire, Glöckner was posthumously promoted to Sturmbannführer (Major).

In 1905, Glöckner married Elfriede Rodenberger. The couple had two sons, Hermann and Gerhard.
