Iastueria
Iastueria is a planet that serves as the setting for nearly all actions in Asendavia. Iastueria shares essentially all of the same characteristics as Earth (an analogous body in another system), and Iastueria is considered to be the Earth of an alternate dimension that is the greater setting for regional roleplay. Unlike Earth, Iastueria is one of three astronomical objects in Ursa Peleus to host life, though it is the only local planet to host intelligent life.
There are six continents on Iastueria: Jaelura, Liophica, New Pax, Kitron, and Graeshira. These continents are defined by convention not by any scientific definition. Jaelura is the largest continent in terms of area and population, and it hosts some of the world's great powers. Every major landmass is dominated by uncivilized areas. Iastueria has four oceans: the Muord Ocean, Kuhask Ocean, Kryvark Ocean, and the Sylysk Ocean.
Humans are the dominant sentient species on Urth, but there are many other sentient species. The most noteworthy of these other species are the Vulpines, Lupines, Felines, and the Isremdolian. Humans developed in Jaelura before spreading across the world, while Vulpines developed in New Pax while spreading onto other continents in small numbers. Lupines developed in Liophica but similarly did not expand outward in large numbers, while Felines developed in northern Graeshira and have not expanded even across Graeshira. Finally, the Isremdolian developed in central and eastern Jaelura. Iastueria has a population of approximately 6.8 billion, and it is estimated that 72% of that population is human. Scientists have definitively proved that the reason for the development of these numerous different species was genetic testing performed on Iastueria by an alien species a few million years ago.
