The Imperial Bureau of Military Intelligence (Greek:Αυτοκρατορικής Προεδρείου της Στρατιωτικών Πληροφοριών, Af̱tokratorikí̱s Proedreíou ti̱s Stratio̱tikó̱n Pli̱roforió̱n) (French: Bureau impérial du renseignement militaire) abbreviated (APTSP) is one of the main intelligence-gathering agencies of Diadochia. The agency is in charge of military intelligence. The Bureau of Military Intelligence was established in 1843, during the long reign of Emperor George VII.

History

The agency was created in 1843 by George VII to monitor the military advances of foreign countries in Pandos. Towards the end of the 19th century, tensions among the major Pandosian powers were rising, leading to increased activities of the Bureau. Mirroring the main political interests of Diadochia during the 19th century, attention of the agency was primarily directed to the east and to the south.

Functions

The bureau collects intelligence of military relevance from various sources into daily reports to the Chief of Staff and weekly reports to the Emperor. The reports to the Emperor are always submitted in cursive, written with both Greek and French copies. The Bureau consists of 100,000 employees.

The Bureau's duties include:

  • ensure a viable objective for all possible situations
  • ensure freedom of maneuver and security units engaged in military operations
  • contribute to the optimum efficiency of the military
  • Oversee central planning and conduct of operations of Staff of the armed forces
