Count Jean de Sauvage-Leroy (1857-1943) was a Braslander nobleman.

He was the heir of a large fortune, but was not very interested in women. However, as the last of the Sauvage-Leroy line he had to find a wife to continue the family name. He choose the beautiful daughter of the Marquis de Pontblanc, Lavinia. They married in 1891 and had a son, Rodolphe, born in 1895.

While Jean was artistic and an intellectual, Lavinia liked the outdoors and was like a hurricane of energy. They both enjoyed social life and made a good couple together, becoming very popular in Halvan society. However, it was no secret in Halvan that Jean preferred men, but he kept his affaires discreetly, while Lavinia ignored the gossip. She had a close friendship with Count Arnaud de Colbert that lasted many years, but it is not known if theirs was a physical relationship, although it is clear that they loved each other.

Jean died in 1943 at his country home.
