Josef Rainer von und zu Beierwald

Count Josef Rainer von und zu Beierwald (1850-1927) was a Braslander nobleman and the head of the Comital House of Beierwald. He was the son of Count Hannibal von und zu Beierwald.
In 1875 he married Princess Theresia von Ettingen und Steinbach. They had seven children: Maria Theresia (born 1877), Johanna (born 1878), Sieglinde (born 1880), Friedrich Franz (born 1881), Moritz (born 1883), Charlotte (1885-1905) and Magdalene (born 1889).
He spent most of his time running his estates and modernising them. He oversaw the renovations of Schloss Altbeier, the ancient family seat, to its current style.
He died in 1927.
