Karolos Maleinos, 46th Duke of Cappadochia (born 6 January 1958) styled Earl of Earl of Tyana before becoming the Duke of Cappadochia in 2004, is a Diadochian Peer.

Early life and education

The Duke of Cappadochia is the son of Kostas Maleinos, 45th Duke of Cappadochia and his wife Anne. He was educated at Odysséa College, an independent boarding school, a school commonly called the chief nurse maid of Diadochia's statesmen on account of the many Prime Ministers and the numerous generations of Diadochian nobility and many members of the Imperial Family having been educated there. After this he then attended Basil College, Olympias.

Career

The Duke of Cappadochia helped to run his father's estate from an early age. He also was Deputy Megas Domestikos from 1996 to 2004. Upon the death of his father in 2004, he inherited the late Duke's title and the position of Megas Domestikos .

Personal Life

The Duke, then Earl of Tyana, married Gregoria Samios on 23 July 1989 at Tyana Cathedral. Together the couple has four sons and two daughters.

Titles and offices

In 2004, he inherited the Dukedom of Cappadochia, as well as a number of Earldoms, Baronies, hereditary offices, and titles attached to the Dukedom, from his father. His office of Megas Domestikos, one of the Great Officers of the Realm, makes him responsible for State occasions, such as coronations and the State Opening of Parliament. He is also, by virtue of this office, one of the hereditary judges of the Court of Chivalry and head of the Imperial College of Arms, responsible for heraldry in Diadochia.
