Katagonia

Katagonia was a region of NationStates, created on November 10, 2012 and officially ceased to exist on January 26, 2013. Katagonia was founded by Hauroko and was a region of democracy (Britain style). The only Prime Minister was Scotticeland (Bavaria-Saxony today). Katagonia only lasted three months on Nationstates until its downfall on December 8th, 2012.

Fatal Day

December 8th, 2012 marks Katagonia's unofficial death date but the region lived on for another month. Hauroko took a very long leave of absence on around November 30th and the region had no leader in charge. Scotticeland was appointed as temporary leader until Hauroko came back. Scotticeland moved to another foreign region on that day. Schruteworld, decided to take charge and was angry that Scotticeland left the region unattended of a leader. Schrute wanted to take the spot but evidently decided it would be best to leave the region and create a new one. After no response from Scotticeland, Schruteworld created The United Nations of Freedom (UNF). Many of the other followers, including Woffythedog and Ted Land followed him and help create the region. Scotticeland eventually joined Schruteworld and the others. Hauroko was nowhere to be found and lost all contact with his former region members.

UNF and Katagonia

The UNF is looked at as a merged Katagonia but Schruteworld doesn't call it that, he says it is a whole new region.
