The Kelssek national football team represents Kelssek in international football competitions. The team has participated in the World Cup since World Cup 33. It first qualified for the finals at World Cup 41, where the team were eliminated in the group stage. The team has also participated in the Coupe de la Francophonie; in a match at the Haven-Port-Nouveau Stadium widely viewed as a defining point in Kelssekian football, Kelssek drew 2-2 against an Ariddian team playing at home who at the time were defending World Cup champions. The national football association, Football Kelssek (FK), is responsible for the administration of the national team.

The team's main home stadium is Exhibition Place in Kirkenes, which hosts around one-third of home matches as a rotation of other venues around the country are also utilized. FK chooses two other stadiums to be used during World Cup qualifying, with one typically being in a region where the sport is more popular such as Konoha or Haligonia, and the third a smaller venue in a region where they hope to grow the popularity of soccer.

Kelssek recorded its first World Cup finals win at World Cup 44 in a 3-1 group stage win against Jaseuyeon. Its biggest defeat was a 5-0 group stage loss to Septentrionia in World Cup 45. Kelssek advanced to the knockout stage for the first time on home ground at World Cup 46, when they were defeated in the second round by Dancougar. The furthest Kelssek have advanced in the World Cup is to the quarter-finals.

Kelssek achieved its highest world ranking in January 2010 when they were ranked 10th. The team's biggest achievement, and only major international title, came in June 2010 when they won the 43rd Cup of Harmony while winning every match in the tournament, a consolation after being the highest-ranked team to fail to qualify for the finals of World Cup 51.
