LEW-2015:1

Recognising the importance of the right of members of the working community to earn a salary on which they can subsist in a manner that preserves both their dignity and the ability to improve their situation by being able to provide for those dependent on them, especially minors.

Understanding that the typical structure of households within the country is that of a bi-level double constituent nature (e.i. Two parents and two children).

Further understanding what the typical financial needs of such a household is.

Noting that the average salary of members of the working community does not cover these financial needs.

Knowing that as a result basic household needs such as nourishment, clothing, heating etc. are often neglected as a result.

Taking note of the changing economic environment within the country, which is that the typical income of a business doubles every three years.

The House of Commons hereby declares that a wage of no less than 4500 acadias shall be paid to any individual in the employ of either another individual, group, body, organisation, or government institution.
