LGBT rights in Narsora are some of the most liberal in the world, with most rights granted by 2015. A poll taken in 2015 indicates, around 74% of the narsoran public support full LGBT rights.

Background

Prior to 1994, a law criminalizing Same-sex sexual activity was in place but rarely enforced. As with many countries homosexuality was officially classified as a mental disorder until 1979 when the Ministry of Health declassified it. In 1995 a poll showed roughly 43% of population supported LGBT rights as a result, the community was a relatively underground movement until the late 1990's when it gained a large momentum. Same-sex marriage was legalized nationwide in the beginning of 2011 by the National Congress and then president Timothy Giles, a move which was attempted for 5 years prior but struck down by the National Congress at least three times. Mainstream support for the LGBT movement was solidified by the 2012 Murder of Dalesair Okaulos, a 20-year old transgender woman by a group of four men.
