Ban of Vehicles from Settlement Act

LPT-2015:1

Any vehicle* running on fossil fuel based petroleum or diesel is prohibited from entering city limits. Travel within city limits is only permitted on foot, per cycle, or per public transport.

Non-compliance is a major offence and may lead to:

1. Confiscation of vehicle
2. Revoking of driver's licence
3. And an additional fine of up to, but not exceeding, 10000 Acadias

Revocation of the offender’s driver’s licence takes effect as of midnight on the day of registry of offence. Further, the fine may be determined by the officer present.

• A vehicle is defined as any instrument of transportation that contains a combustion based propulsion system that requires fossil fuel in order to function.
