Leopoldo I (1856-1926) was the King of Mayagua between 1890 and 1926. He succeeded his brother, Maximiliano II, who reigned for just a year.

He was married in 1881 to Princess Katharina of Brasland, a marriage arranged by his parents. She was the daughter of King Georg II of Brasland and his Caldan wife, Princess Juliette Stuart. In Mayagua, Katharina was known as 'Catalina'.

Leopoldo and Katharina had three children: Juan (b. 1882), Gabriel (b. 1883) and Amalia (b. 1887).
