Loch Ness Monster Republic

An obviously racist man decked out in terribly offensive pro-Nessie Republic propaganda.

The Loch Ness Monster Republic, also called the Nessie Republic, was a micronation within Omigodtheykilledkenny centered around Nessie City. It declared independence from the Federal Republic in the late nineteenth century, after the government outlawed racial segregation and put a halt to the cherished northern tradition of shooting Bigtopians out of cannons for sport. When the federal government threatened to integrate Nessie City by force, the townspeople staged a revolt. However, the Bigtopians they launched against the federal troops proved no match for the government's cannonballs, and the city was quickly forced to surrender. The Nessie Republic still has many sympathizers today, and reenactments of the epic Battle of Nessie City are very popular. (Although now they harmlessly shoot homeless people out of the cannons -- or Violetists.)

Nessie Republic's flag, depicting a white silhouette Loch Ness Monster swimming in a lake of "the blood of the Paradise City oppressors," is considered an offensive symbol today, though it is still in use in parts of northern Omigodtheykilledkenny. Notably, the state of Nessie Shelf still flies the flag over its state capitol, which has been a source of controversy for years. Civil rights activists, including the Bigtopian Lives Matter movement, have repeatedly called for the state government to remove it. Even classic children's shows such as The Counts of Hasbro, which depicts the flag painted on the roof of the heroes' red Camaro, have been attacked for promoting hateful symbols. The show itself features no racial themes.
