Louise von Ledonitz (born 1924) is a Braslander heiress. She is the daughter of Carl von Ledonitz.

She was supposed to marry her first cousin Eduard von Ledonitz, but he died weeks before the wedding in a tragic climbing accident. Unlike other matches within the Ledonitz family, Louise was in love with Eduard, and his death deeply affected her. As there were no other cousins available, she was free to choose whatever she wanted with her life. Instead of finding another husband, she decided to pursue her own interests. After his father's death in 1948 she received a large inheritance, which she decided to cautiously invest. She took private lessons on financial matters, as she wanted to have a knowledge of finances before risking her money. She made a series of wise investments and her fortune grew. By the 1970s her wealth was estimated in more than 50 million dollars. As most of her money was placed in foreign banks, her financial situation was not greatly affected by the republican regime. It is believed she discreetly helped to fund the dissidents, but she has never made any remarks about this.

Louise is a keen horsewoman and has her own stud farm near Oldeppen, close to the one owned by her late brother-in-law, Albert von Ledonitz, to whom she was very close. She also supporst countless institutions and several international Jewish organisations.

Miss von Ledonitz is known to have a very strong character, not afraid of speaking her mind when she does not like something. However, she is also a fair and caring woman with a great sense of duty towards society.
