Maritime Buffer Zone
The Maritime Buffer Zone (MBZ) is a disputed maritime demarcation zone in international waters off the coast of the disputed territory of González Isle and is the military controlled, internationally recognized border of the territory.
History
The MBZ was drawn up in 1973 to create a ceasefire agreement between Narsora and Torisakia over the disputed González Archipelago which which was annexed 1973 by Torisakia, the islands are now internationally recognized by most countries as torisakian territory. In 1974, another nearby island situated in international waters was given to Narsora as an observation post for the MBZ
Security
The zone is monitored 24/7 by both the Narsoran National Navy and Torisakian Navy on their respective sides, narsoran forces are deployed from the nearby Atolón Air Base.
Incidents
Although neither country can cross the zone, there have been numerous incidents of this being broken by both parties;

| 2009 | 2009 Maritime Border Incident | In early 2009 a Narsoran Patrol Ship spots the Torisakian Navy Patrol vessel TSS Ssrorur in the waters of the secondary island and intercepts it. | 2011 | 2011 Maritime Border Incident | In late-2011 a Narsoran Frigate the NSS Pelangi Jambatan is spotted in the waters off the island by a Torisakian Frigate the TSS Lailluaidir and is intercepted. An argument erupts and both ships fire on each other, causing no deaths but injuring several and causing damage to both ships. | Narsora Torisakia |
Relations between both countries are further strained. Both countries regard the incident as a declaration of war, although a direct conflict is avoided through the international community. Build up of forces from both nations. |

Torisakia demands the personnel on the ship be held responsible. The commander of the ship is sentenced to 16 years in prison. |
Narsoran Anti-Torisakian Propaganda
In August 2015, the Narsoran National Navy admitted to playing anti-torisakian propaganda through sound systems installed on it's patrol vessels. These included; highly disorienting sounds, demands that the torisakian government surrender the islands and calls for the civilian populance to demand the islands be handed over. Narsoran president Sandalio Espina ordered the navy to stop it's propaganda attacks.
