Megas Proedros tou Mystikoú Symvoulíou

The Megas Proedros tou Mystikoú Symvoulíou or Lord President of the Secret (Privy) Council is the fourth of the Great Officers of the Realm of Diadochia, ranking beneath the Megas Mesazon and above the Megas Kanikleios. The Lord President usually attends each meeting of the Privy Council of Diadochia, presenting business for the monarch's approval. The holder is by convention and precedence always a member of one of the houses of Parliament and the office carries Cabinet post.

History

The holder of this dignity was also the president of the Senate, a advisory body that evolved into todays' Privy Council.
