Eslar's defences consist of the Eslarite Coast Guard, which patrols Eslars waters and airspace, and other services such as the Eslarite Special Forces Response Team. Eslar however has maintained no standing army since 1962.

The Coast Guard consists of three ships and four aircraft and armed with small arms, naval artillery, and Air Defence weaponry. The Coast Guard also maintains the Eslarite Air Defence System, formerly part of the disestablished Defence Agency, which conducts ground surveillance of Eslar's air space.
