The United Socialist States of Accepted Imperium is a small, safe nation, renowned for its anti-smoking policies, state-planned economy, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 20 million Accepted Imperiumians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 71.1%.

The developing Accepted Imperiumian economy, worth 766 billion centrelinks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, quite specialized black market in Trout Farming, Retail, Uranium Mining, and Pizza Delivery. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 38,302 centrelinks, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.2 times as much as the poorest.

Mandatory electronic currency is a boon for credit card companies and government surveillance, careless Maxémon Trainers have been the cause of numerous search and rescue operations, the government is encouraging violence on television, and wigged-out hunters report playing croquet with the Queen of Hearts. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Accepted Imperium's national animal is the bear, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.
