It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Social Welfare, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Wellsburger. The average income tax rate is 48%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Information Technology.

Billions of Frats are being poured into a space program, loans are available for students from poor families, eminent domain has been abolished, and Fratanica has been recently classified as an international menace after 'liberating' several nearby territories. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Fratanica's national animal is the Horse, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Frat.
