Nation/Land of Jesus Christ

Land of Jesus Christ is a christian, conservative and techno phobic nation, which has risen out of the ashes of the former "Kingdom of Denmark". It started out as a republic, simply named "Denmark", but after only two months, the state church took over the country, with the help of the military, which they promised to "reinvigorate". Today the country is Christian, and membership of the state church is compulsory, the same is military service.

The Government

The Government is internally said to have a "Direct mandate of God". It is undemocratic, only allowing members of parliament to vote for new members of parliament and presidency, keeping the control of parliament and the presidency in the hands of the Church. Other parties than that of the church are legally allowed to exists, but membership of the church's party is automatically granted to members of the church, and membership of the church is compulsory. 45% of the current members of parliament, consisting of 301 members in all, are corporations, who are legally people and can run for office.

Policy

The policies of The Holy Empire of Land of Jesus Christ, has been in the interest of the state religion. If matters have not had religious interest, corporations has generally been benefited, while the people has been overheard. Evidence of this, can be seen in the fact, that slavery and child labour is legal and that the corporation "Oil of Jesus" is in charge of the environmental board.
