The Neoliberalist Democracy of New Uden is a small, yet immensely populated sovereign state, situated in the Udentrion Union. Renowned for its environmental conservation laws, placid and friendly culture, well-funded education system and technological and scientific advancement, New Uden is a popular tourist destination. The notably stable and productive Udentrion economy is fairly diversified, but mainly led by the information technology sector, with significant contributions from tourism and retail industry. State-owned companies are reasonably common. The currency used by New Uden is the Udenian Vaan. Following the overhaul of the Udentrion system of units of measurement, where the metric system was adopted in 1804, Udenian was declared as the officially spoken national language.

History
Below is a list of notable historical events in chronological order:

| 392 | A group of atheists flee Ancient Greece by boat, after the introduction of laws that enforced the religious practices of the Roman Empire. |
| 393 | The asylum seekers stay in Spain for six months, only to be forced out of the country by devout Catholics. Later that year, the group set sail to England, only to also find themselves in the same situation. |
| 394 | The vagabonds set foot on a desert island, North-West of Denmark. |
| 395 | A leader of the community is declared. |
| 396 | There is a heated argument between the leader and a member of the group. The small population now around 30, was divided by ideology for the future of their community. The majority opposed the leader; an ancient papyrus scripture bore the text, "Ὅδε ϕύειν τρᾱχΰς, ἀγνώμων καὶ ἀνεπιεικής," meaning, "He was stern, unkind and unfair." Towards the end of the year, the leader was killed, and the lead plotter of his opposers was in charge. |
| 397 | A large piece of land was tilled, and grain seeds planted. |
| 398 | A successful harvest. Bread production became an important trade. A currency was introduced to ease tensions over who got what food. All citizens were initially given 5 Βααν, smooth cuts of beech bark with a set pattern of small holes knocked through the piece, like a note or bill. The leader of the community appointed a banker to manage the distribution and making of money. The first remnants of Udenian capitalism had arisen. The population was now approximately 40. |
| 400 | A celebration is held for the new century. Foods are presented by different families, bakers and chefs. A man was found to have forged currency, in order to obtain food to keep for later after the celebrations. Everybody was called to discuss appropriate punishment. This was the first jury. Whilst being held to a tree, the accused man punched and kicked the person holding him. The jury decided that the 'ἄδῐκος ἀνήρ' (criminal man) should be killed for his wrongdoings. This was the first legally justified Udenian execution. Laws against assault, harassment and forgery of money were introduced. A 'ϕῠλάσσεινρ' is appointed to enforce the rules of the community. |
| 402 | Sand is allowed to accumulate in an oven. Glass forms, and is removed. The baker who discovered it began to produce glass instead of breads. Glass was in popular demand, and was used to furnish the homes of those who could afford it in the population of ~60. |
| 403 | The community leader becomes ill and dies. His child becomes the new leader, and declares himself King of 'Υδιν', after the Greek word for vortex. The new 'Ἄδραστος βαν Υδιν' (Adrastos van Udin) said that their new nation "wiil always be changing and evolving - we are at the centre of a whirling mass of good energy and world improvement." (It sounds less cheesy in Greek.) This was the start of the 'Υδινήα' dynasty. |
| 404 | The banker discovers that glass may be used to focus the light of the sun to cause burns. He exploited this fact as a new security technology when making Βααν, by burning holes and patterns into them. No citizens knew of this, so when another man attempted to forge currency, some of the patterned holes were not blackened like they should have been, had they been burned in. The man supposedly hid in the forest, for fear of execution, and was never seen again, despite this not being the established punishment for more minor crimes. All 'Υδινήαζ' were then educated about the laws that governed their community, after it was made apparent that people were ignorant of them. |
| 406 | A fire starts in the bank. It is burnt down, along with the King's money and the banker. A minor "citizens' tax" is introduced, to recover monetary losses. |
| 409 | The population reaches 150. More land is farmed. The construction trade becomes more prominent as housing is in higher demand. |
