The Federal Union of Hlymrek is a protectorate of the Altic Union and a nation of approximately 121 million people. Until recently it was known as the National Freedom Assembly, and fought as a faction during the 2014 Hawkwickan Civil War. Now, Hlymrek maintains a small standing army and the government answers directly to the Altic Union, which is it's soul neighbor.
The Federal Union is noted for formerly being a vocal source of moderate socialism in Occassus, however, since it's induction as a formal protecotrate of the union and the disappearance of Jory Hellhorn, this sentiment has died out. Members of the Federal Union of Hlymrek consider themselves to be the true successors to both Eldengarde, to counter the Altic Union's similarity with the Altberg Empire, and the United Republic of Hawkwick, the former Hawkwickan government which held the most similarity to the NFA.
