The I-203 Officer Randy Michaels Bridge crosses the Brooks Creek near Lake Jaketon, Alaska, in Cascadia, carrying east-west traffic on Interstate 203. The four-lane bridge was built in 2013. It was planned and is maintained by the Alaska Department of Transportation (AkDOT). The planning, design, and construction processes were completed faster than normal because Interstate 203 was projected critical artery for commuters. The bridge opened September 18, 2014, well ahead of the original goal of December 24.
