The Parliament of The People's Scientific Republic of Zurginia, is the supreme legislative body in the Republic of Zurginia. It is a unicameral, one-party system; the house being the Parliament of Zurginia, and the party being The Zurginian Socialist Party. As other parties are outlawed, the ZSP has three distinct divisions; The Trotskyists, The Marxist-Leninists, and The One-Country-Socialists, each representing Trotskyism, Marx-Leninism, and Socialism-In-One-Country respectively.
Zurginia is divided into 8 Districts, in which are 124 Sub-Districts, each of which has an elected Sub-Regional Chairperson. From these are elected the 8 Regional Chairpeople, 10 Ministers, The Deputy-Administrator, and The Administrator. In the event a Sub-District's Chairperson is promoted, their deputy takes their place, bringing the total members of parliament to 144.
The Administrator, who is both head of The Party, and Head of State, is decided in elections on January 1st every five years, (with the exception of Hugo von Bwuttstein Jr, who was elected in August 1920). The current Admistrator, Dr Zephaniah Zedd, was elected on January 1st 1990, and is a member of Trotskyist Division of the ZSP.
