The President of the Rethymnian Federation ( Greek: Πρόεδρος τῆς Ῥεθυμνιακὴς Ὁμοσπονδίας ) or more commonly referred to as the President of Rethymnon was the Head of State of the Rethymnian Federation up to 2540, after the Rethymnian Imperial Party won the elections restoring the Imperial government with Hephaestion of the noble House of Monomachos, as the first Emperor of Rethymnon since the reign of Zenon Aidonakis in 2436. The last President was Konstantinos Sotirakopoulos of the Federal National Democratic Alliance.

Powers
The President was the Grand General of the Order of the Sword, the land forces of the Rethymnian military. He was the leading figure of the Rethymnian political life and held most power. He was regularly assisted by the Prime Minister and other ministers of the state.
Election
The election of the president took place every six months with every president being able to hold the office for a maximum of 100 terms ( 50 years ) although no president ever succeeded in being elected as many times. The longest presidency was that of Damianos Asikrates who was also the first president.
The people voted directly on these elections through an online voting system. This method made the elections cheat and rapid with results being announced as soon as the polls closed. In addition, the implementation of a live polling score allowed the people to monitor the progress of the election at any given time.
Oath of Office
Before taking office, the President had to recite an oath before Parliament:
"I swear in the name of the Holy, Consubstantial and Indivisible Trinity, to safeguard the Constitution and the laws, to ensure their faithful observance, to defend the national independence and territorial integrity of the Country, to protect the rights and liberties of the Rethymnians and to serve the general interest and the progress of the Rethymnian People."
Official Residence
The official residence of the President was the 187th floor of the parliament building in Saint Constantinopolis
