Prince Ulrich of Brasland (1707-1741) was the son of King Frederick I of Brasland.

He joined the Army at the age of 10, reaching the rank of Major General in 1737.

His father arranged a marriage to his first cousin, Princess Margarethe von Hohenburg. However, the King died before the wedding and Ulrich's brother, Frederick II, cancelled the engagement as he did not want to increase his uncle Lazarus's influence at Court.

Lazarus was a very handsome man and had many affaires. He had at least two natural children, one by Countess Eleonore von Lindau and the other by Countess Ermesinde von Grübenau.
