Issla Province (Priz: Isslälannädel) lies at the heart of Prizyetsa, and contains the capital district of Venbruä. Historically speaking, it is often recognized as being the capital region of a united Prizyetsa, and idea which has only ben reinforced in recent times by the presence of the national capital within it's borders. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Vosto, which is also the second largest city in the province. The largest city is Venbruä.

Historically, Issla has always been referred to as the heart of Prizyetsa. This name is due to a number of reasons, though the most important was it's geographical position; Issla province sits at the end of the Innlannäsjo (Eng: Inland Sea) far from would be invaders given that the lands to the south (Fronten Province) served as a buffer from any incursions made by the Kauvaran city states.

The coat of arms of the province feature a blue wave due it's association to the sea, two red fir trees which represent the vast expanses of forest which still cover the hill-lands of the province today. All of this sits on a golden background, representing the province's wealth and prosperity.

Fronten Province

Fronten Province (Priz: Frontenälann) is the southernmost province of mainland Prizyetsa. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Ytteborg, which is also the largest city in the province. As the frontier with Kauvara to the south, Fronten Province is the most influenced by Kauvaran culture, and as such it is home to the largest population of Kauvarans outside of Kauvara. Fronten Province is often seen as the linking element between the two countries.

Ytteborg, the province's capital, is one of seven Prizyetsi fortress cities. The old city center is still surrounded by the ancient walls of which sections date back to around the third century, making this one of the oldest fortifications of this size on the continent, as well as the region as a whole.

The coat of arms of the province feature a local type of traditional picket fence found in the region, symbolizing the frontier or border with Prizyetsa's southern and western neighbors. The background is split vertically and colored green and white, referring to the Kauvaran wilderness to the south, and the relatively open terrain to the north.

Fronten Province is home to the headquarters of the Grenssävakt (Eng: 'Border Guard).

Sorlänn Province

Sorlänn Province coat of arms

Sorlänn Province (Priz: Den Sorlänn) is the thirs largest province, and is made up flat fertile land. For this reason, it is referred to as the bread-basket of the Federation, and suits the agricultural needs of a majority of the nation. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Roensby, which is also the largest city in the province.

Sorlänn has always been the envy of the numerous kingdoms and city states that make up the modern day Federation due to the richness of the province's soil. Over the ages, Sorlänn has fed nearly every one of these states either through trade, or having been conquered by them directly. Because of this, Sorlänn is considered by many Prizyetsi to be a "new" province compared to the others, though historians argue otherwise.

The province's coat of arms feature a diagonal blue line, representing the many rivers which run from the Rykgrat mountains to the north to the Innlannäsjo to the south, making the land very fertile. Within this blue stripe there sits a golden stalk of wheat, symbolizing the fertility and prosperity of the province. All of this sits on a golden background, representing the province's wealth and prosperity, a feature the province has always boasted thanks to it's fertility.

Vossen Province

Vossen Province (Priz: Vossenälanndel) is a coastal province in the east of the Federation. Located on the Lilläsjo, itself a part of the North Entas Ocean, the province has always been an important maritime center. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Vosonje, which is also the largest city in the province. The province gets its name from the Vos river, which runs through the province.

During the city-states period of Prizyetsi history Vossen was the seat of the city state of the Vos, the major maritime power at the time. The city state's maritime traditions and role as the main hub of Prizyetsa's maritime power has continued on to this day. The Federation's largest harbor is located in Vosonje, as are the main shipyards of the nation's major firms. The province also boasts the countries longest stretch of tourist beachfront, attracting hundreds of thousands of tourists each year from within the country as well as abroad.

The province's coat of arms features three heads of grain, which represent the trade which flows through the province's capital city, Vosonje. The bridge and waves, as well as the blue background itself represents the province's relationship with water, both that of the Vos river as well as the Ocean on which the province lies.

Korrlänn Province

Korrlänn Province (Priz: Den Korlänn) is a province to the east of the country bordering the Lilläsjo and North Entas Ocean to the east, and Vossen Province to the south. Like its southern neighbor Vossen, Korrlänn has always been an important maritime center, however Korrlänn's prosperity came from the land unlike Vossen. Korrlänn is famous for its metalwork and jewelry. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Kormisk, which is also the largest city in the province, as well as the nation.

Like its neighbor to the south, Korrlänn played a major role during the city states period of history, and often fought with the surrounding provinces. While Vos was usually superior at sea, the armies of the Kor were superior on land. Towards the end of the city-states period, the two provinces started working together, leading to the last golden age of the city states, and paved the way for unification.

The coat of arms of Korrlänn Province feature a fortress above white waves, representing the province's roots above water on land. The fortress is also a reference to the fortress at Kormosk, one of the seven fortress cities in the United Federation of Prizyetsa.

Kystlänn Province

Kystlänn Province (Priz: Den Kystälänn) lies to the far east of the country, and together with Östfold Province, makes up the furthest eastward of the provinces. To the south and east lies the Lilläsjo and North Entas Ocean, and it shares a land border with Korrlänn Province to the south, Rygratten Province to the north west and Östfold Province to the north. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Emira, which is also the largest city in the province, and home of Prizyetsa's Naval Academy.

Historically, Kystlänn has been bound to the sea, it's name meaning "Coastal Land". According to legend, the first people set foot on the continent from the waters off it's shores and established the Entasii culture in what are now the Prizyetsi provinces. Archeological findings have prooved that the province has the oldest inhabited settlements in Prizyetsa, though research is ongoing.

The coat of arms of the province feature a white wave horizontally dividing the shield, which represents the waves of the Lilläsjo and North Entas Ocean. Above and below it are three golden anchors, two above and one below, symbolizing the province's prosperity and ties with the sea from which it gains its namesake. All of this is on a blue background, further showing the province's ties to the sea.

Östfold Province

Östfold Province (Priz: Den Östfoldälänn) is the furthest eastward province in the Federation, together with Kystlänn Province, which it borders to the south. To the west is Yssen Province, and to the south west it borders the mountainous Rykgrat Province. To the north and east, Östfold borders the North Entas Ocean. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Asbruä, which is also the largest city in the province.

The eastern Rykgrat mountains meet the sea

As the province's name suggests, Östfold Province (Eng: Eastfold Province) is at the far north east reaches of the country's mainland. It is a province of many contrasts, geographically and culturally. The province starts off mountainous in the west and flattens out as it nears the coast, meaning that province has everything from high mountains to fjords, to flat-lands to salt marshes. Because of the province's diversity, many eco-tourists are attracted to it every year.

The province's coat of arms symbolize this geographical diversity. To the left the shield shows the black mountains of the eastern Rykgrat mountain range which rise in the west of the province. To the right, blue waves symbolize the sea and all it gives the province. Between the two lies a strip of white, representing the flat-lands and many other in-betweens of the province. The coat of arms is much newer than many others, having been adopted in the 1950's.

Yssen Province

Yssen Province (Priz: Yssälännsdel) lies in the far north of the country, beyond the Rykgrat mountains and bordering the northern seas. To the south, it borders Rykgrat Province, to the east Östfold Province and to the west it shares a border with Nörlänn Province. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Falasby, though the largest city in the province is Endrähavna which until recently was also the capital of the province.

Yssen Province lies to the far north

Yssen Province is predominantly flat tundra land. To the south, the Rykgrat mountains flatten out almost immediately having been driven back by glaciers, most of which receded at the end of the last ice age. Yssen is easily the most extreme of the provinces. The province is a relatively new addition to the idea of Prizyetsa. Historically, Yssen has always been a free land of reindeer herders which traveled with their flocks across the massive open expanses. The people of Yssen, referred in Prizyetsi as "Yssämenner" speak their own language which is supported by the federal government, and practice relative autonomy from the rest of the country.

The coat of arms of the province features the Taltedirr, a mythological creature of the north resembling a reindeer. It stands above two narrow rivers, symbolizing the seasonal rivers which run through the province. All of this sits on a white background, symbolizing the long cold winters of the north.

Norlänn Province

Norlänn Province (Priz: Norlännsädel) sits in the north west of the country, bordering Yssen Province to the east, Rykgrat Province to the south east and Vestfold Province to the south west. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Sakseborg, which is also the largest city in the province and one of the seven ancient fortress cities in the Federation.

Since the industrialization of Prizyetsa, Norlänn had always been an industrial and manufacturing powerhouse within the Kingdom and the later socialist regime. After the fall of the socialist government however, many of the state-run factories in the province found themselves in financial difficulties leading to the closure of a significant number of production facilities and the loss of thousands of jobs. Due to what many citizens of Norlänn feel was a betrayal by the government in Venbruä, there is strong support for leftist parties in the province, and a small secession movement, though the latter has not picked up much momentum.

The coat of arms of Norlänn province show three golden pine-cones, representing the vast forests of the province. Below this there is a gear-wheel, symbolizing industry in the province, on a gold background which represents the prosperity and wealth the province once had.

Vestfold Province

Vestfold Province (Priz: Den Vestfoldälänn) is a province in the far west of the country, bordering the western frontiers, Fronten Province to the south, Rygratt Province to the east and Norlänn Province to the north. Vestfold Province is famous for its vineyards and wines which it produces and exports to the world. Vestfold Province is home to the western fleet of the Prizyeti navy.

"The Vestfold" as it is called in Prizyetsi, is a hilly land between the foot of the Rygratt mountains and the Great Northern Ocean to the west. While the coast is home to a lively fishing industry as well as a tourist destination, the industry to the north shared the same fate as that in Norlänn province, though most of the lost jobs have been replaced and the provincial economy is back on track and growing.

The province's coat of arms is divided into two parts by the background colors, green and gold. In the green field sits a golden crown, symbolizing the province's relationship with the crown during the time of the kingdom. The green background is a tribute to the fertile lands in the province which gave way to the province's traditional sources of wealth. In the gold field sits a branch with stylized Elteberries, a key ingredient for a locally brewed drink similar to cider which is popular in the region. Historically, this drink was also exported to the other provinces, and can still be found in supermarkets today.

Rygratten Province

Rygratten Province lies in the center of the Federation, and is the largest of the provinces. Rygratten Province is completely landlocked and shares borders with Issla Province, Rorrlänn Province and Korlänn Province to the south, Kystlänn Province and Östfold Province to the east, Yssen Province and Nörlänn Province to the north and Vestfold Province to the west. The capital and seat of the provincial government is Salsberg, which is also the largest city in the province.

Rygratten Province has many picturesque villages.

Rygratten Province gets its name from the mountain range which forms the spine of the northern continent. The mountains were formed over tens of millions of years as the Far-Northern and the Alanian tectonic plates collided. Extreme shortening caused by the event resulted in marine sedimentary rocks rising by thrusting and folding into high mountain peaks such as Sjellütta and Fallsütta.

The province's coat of arms features two horizontal white stripes on a dark green background with five symbols on it. The white stripes on a green background symbolize the stability which the province has always enjoyed due to the mountainous terrain. For this reason, it has never been conquered by outside powers, or the surrounding provinces. The five symbols on the coat of arms represent the five historical cities which have historically been the foundation of the province.

Administrative Organization

Prizyetsa is divided into twelve provinces and four special zones, each under the supervision of a sub-minister who in turn report to the Internal Ministry (Innlannsä Ministerien). The provinces are divided into municipalities (Kreisser), of which there are 847. The special zones are split into "holdings" (Lännsädeler), of which there are 14.
