Kaentaria is a minuscule island region, founded July 29, 2018. It is run by an elite government of anointed leaders who follow the teachings of the Savior Goddess Weyylh.

While Her teachings are followed by each nation without question, the governing bodies of each nation is overall left to its own decisions, leading to a diverse set of rules within the region.

Summary

In Kaentaria, denizens are suspicious of strangers, and entering its borders is a long and taxing ordeal, but considered worth the trouble by the many tourists who visit for its sparkling oceans and vibrant holiday festivities. Political freedoms are nought but a dream in the minds of its citizens, as any who would question the almighty authority tend to disappear overnight. The stable economy is a point of pride for the regions many politicians. Inhabitants are often hounded by the tax collector, and the region boasts a disgusting median tax rate of 27.68%. The economies of nations in the region tend to be dominated by the private sector, with only Gopriland having a complete lack of private business. Commerce is low priority for governments, accounting for an average of 7% of public expenditure, although commerce is generally seen as a source of tax revenue.

Denizens of the Kaentaria are poorly educated, with rampant illiteracy. Criminality is practically nonexistent, and law enforcement can often be seen lounging on Kaentaria's beautiful beaches. Governments allocate a meager 2%, on average, of their budgets to law and order. Denizens have small defense forces, owing to the natural defenses around the region. Public transport is an afterthought, with only 4% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

Governments in Kaentaria find themselves extremely well organized, with 12.5% on average of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but is generally considered not worth the expense. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Spirituality is a moderate priority of governments within the region, with 5% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within Kaentaria, but is less prominent than in other regions. The stunning environments of the nations in the region are one of its major tourist attractions.

History

In the year 2016 BCE, the sun fell from the sky into the ocean. From where it landed arose three islands blessed with lush forests and diverse wildlife. Humans flocked to these islands and found a beautiful Goddess living there. Among the humans, She chose four to be Her disciples and told them each a truth:

• "Sometimes, what is best is not always what is right.";
• "It is better that we do more than just survive; take the world in your hands and thrive.";
• "Even the weak become strong by following those above them.";
• "Above all else, truth and justice are the most malleable."

With those words, the Goddess returned to the sky, leaving Her disciples to lead the people in her stead. Of Her disciples, three made a nation on the islands, while the fourth was appointed the Holy Messenger. In 2018, they together formed the collected nations of Kaentaria, the Stars of the Sun, and following the guidance of the Holy Messenger, each nation would lead their people by their own interpretation of the Truth they had been given.

In November 2018, two new nations passed the region's extensive background and qualification checks, integrating themselves into the culture and bringing the total nations of Kaentaria to five.

Flag

The flag of Kaentaria was designed as a symbol to show the union of its nations. The sun and stars represent the guiding light of the Savior Goddess Weyylh and her anointed leaders, atop the sea of wealth she bestows upon her loyal followers. The plum stripes signify the importance of community in a world full of ignorance.
