1st Planet of the NCC is a minuscule region, inhabited by a few solitary nations and without any World Assembly representation. and only 0 World Assembly Members.
The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of 1st Planet of the NCC eagerly dismissed concerns of oppressation. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. Families in the region discuss laffer curves and supply-side reforms over supper, such is the level of obsession exhibited by member nations. The median tax rate of the region is 45%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tends to be weighted more towards the private sector, with on average only 46% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is a major priority of national governments within the region, most of whom are trading nations, as is evidenced by the fact that commerce budgets account for an average of 29% of public expenditure in the region.
In 1st Planet of the NCC education, when conducted, is done with sticks and mud. The region's law enforcement officials try hard to combat a relatively high level of crime, but are hampered by a lack of funding. Defense is a major priority for governments within the region, with a large chunk of government budgets being devoted to it. Public transport is considered dirty and trampish in the region. Throughout 1st Planet of the NCC, governments find themselves confused, with administration departments being so bloated that staff do not know what other staff are doing, with an average of over 13% of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Some government provision is made for healthcare, but at an average of only 4% the provision for healthcare in the region is paltry. No welfare is provided in the region. Those unlucky enough to fall into unemployment are forgotten and abandoned. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.
In 1st Planet of the NCC, Social inequality is total, with wealth being held by a tiny fraction of the region's populace. The landscapes of the region are no longer recognizable as such, the atmosphere being unbreathable and the only jungles being made of concrete.
