Amarite consists of four primary locations; the western island of Tahrodiis, the eastern island of Luarentia, the southern island of Te Rangi and in the north the remnants of Hellgondo. The region sits under a convergence tear, an anomaly in space and time situated above Te Rangi which has greatly effected the nations involved, notably with the birth of magical beings of Laiona whom through their study of the vortex brought about the Cataclysm in an attempt to  wipe out humanity. This was the summoning of a world eater called the  Abyssal Leviathan which proved uncontrollable for the Laionans, tearing free of it's magical binds and rampaging. The shockwave of it's escape flooded the eastern nation of Velestasia with dark magic and plunged it into the blight. Meanwhile, having destroyed Laiona the Leviathan advanced on Hellgondo, shattering the land and it's defenders and leaving taint in it's wake. With it's magic drained the world eater faded and was cast back to the Abyss, leaving the Hellgondo survivors in the ruins of their island and the last of the Laionans to disappear into the magical wasteland of Te Rangi looking to the future to make amends.

Amarite

Amarite is a medium-sized region, with a thriving community of 13 nations and only 3 World Assembly Members.

The shockwave of its escape flooded the eastern nation of Velestasia with dark magic and plunged it into the blight. Meanwhile, having destroyed Laiona the Leviathan advanced on Hellgondo, shattering the land and its defenders and leaving taint in its wake. With its magic drained the world eater faded and was cast back to the Abyss, leaving the Hellgondo survivors in the ruins of their island and the last of the Laionans to disappear into the magical wasteland of Te Rangi looking to the future to make amends.

In Amarite, denizens enjoy their civil rights, although not too much, or too freely. Nations in the region are considered developing democracies, with some political freedoms afforded to denizens. Economies in the region tend to be stronger than average. Denizens suffer under an enormous tax burden throughout the region, with a median tax rate of 55%, and much higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be weighted more towards the public sector, with on average only 42% of the economy comprising the private sector. Stoking commercial activity is a major priority for governments, accounting for an average of 8% of public expenditure.

In Amarite, denizens are afforded a reasonable education, although funding is somewhat wanting. The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions. Defense is a major priority for governments within the region, with a large chunk of government budgets being devoted to it. Public transport is an afterthought, with only 2% of total government budgets in the region being devoted to it.

Throughout Amarite, governments find themselves confused, with administration departments being so bloated that staff do not know what other staff are doing, with an average of over 8% of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Governments generally endow their healthcare departments with a large amount of funding, with an average of 7% of government budgets across the region being devoted to healthcare. Welfare in the region is minimal, with only a small amount of expenditure being devoted to spending on social security. Spirituality is a moderate priority of governments within the region, with1% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.

Social inequality is a major problem within Amarite, although some effort has been made to correct the problem. The environments of the nations in the region are almost universally appalling.
