Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 5% of public expenditure.

The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions. Defense is an overarching priority for governments within the region. One might suggest they are compensating for something.
