Governments bestow their healthcare departments with a gargantuan amount of funding, with an average of 11% of government budgets across the region being heaped on to healthcare. Governments in the region have a pathological fixation on welfare, with welfare budgets soaking up huge amounts of government expenditure. DEN is one of the game's premier raiding regions/organizations. DEN has existed in one form or another for at least ten years. It describes itself as "The most notorious, well-organized, and well-disciplined raider army" in NationStates.

The region was deleted by moderators in April 2016 for using an illegal script.
