East Pacific

East Pacific is a medium-sized region, with a thriving community of 24 nations and only 3 World Assembly Members.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of East Pacific eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Nations in the region are considered developing democracies, with some political freedoms afforded to denizens. Economies in the region tend to be stronger than average. The median tax rate of the region is 30%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be weighted more towards the private sector, with on average only 42% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 4% of public expenditure.

In East Pacific, denizens are afforded a reasonable education, although funding is somewhat wanting. Crime is low: the region enjoys well-equipped and well-funded police forces, coupled with efficient but fair judicial systems. Denizens have very well-funded, well equipped defense forces. Due to the lack of any Public transport, streets are packed with cars, bikes, and assorted noisy vehicles.

The administration departments of East Pacific are all-consuming, soaking up budgets in aid of supporting a bureaucracy of millions, with an average of 16% of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Hospital patients are given credit checks upon passing through emergency rooms, as no government provision is made for healthcare in the region. Welfare is a large part of government expenditure, with denizens amply provided for. Spirituality is a major priority of governments in the region, with a relatively high average of 2% of government budgets being devoted to Spirituality.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within East Pacific. The environments of the nations in the region are almost universally appalling.
