Hemithea values education extremely highly, and denizens compete for the largest number of university degrees and sprawling book collections. There is a very high level of crime within the region and law enforcement resources are stretched thin. Denizens have well-funded defense forces. Public transport is a popular mode of transport in the region, receiving on average of 3% of total government budgets.

The administration departments of Hemithea are all-consuming, soaking up budgets in aid of supporting a bureaucracy of millions, with an average of 24% of government budgets being devoted to Administration. Governments bestow their healthcare departments with a gargantuan amount of funding, with an average of 13% of government budgets across the region being heaped on to healthcare. Hemithea is a geographical region and community of nations located around four continents and minor sub-continents. Climatically the region varies from the icy cold seas north of Feroxi through extensive maritime temperate zones where most of the nations are located through to the humid equatorial tropics, and thence on to temperate climates in the southern hemisphere seen in the United Realms of Libraria and Ausitoria (a nation which considers itself part of both Panessos and Hemithea).
