Infinite Empire

Infinite Empire is a medium-sized region, with a thriving community of 13 nations and only one World Assembly Member.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Infinite Empire eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. The economy of the region is very strong, with a large number of very powerful trading powers. The median tax rate of the region is 49%, but is frequently higher for the wealthy. The economies of nations in the region tend to be weighted more towards the public sector, with on average only 47% of the economy comprising the private sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 5% of public expenditure.

General Information

The Infinite Empire is a collection of states spanning numerous planets. The Empire is comprised of many states with varying degrees of autonomy. There are three main classifications for members of the Infinite Empire.

  • Imperial States

The Imperial State classification is currently the most numerous within the Empire. Members designated Imperial States have the least amount of autonomy within the Empire. They generally are required to check with the Founding State before taking any action of any importance. Members that fall into this classification have generally been incorporated through force.

  • Imperial Protectorates

The Imperial Protectorate classification is reserved for nations that have joined the Empire but retain a level of autonomy greater than Impeiral States. They are generally allowed to conduct business in any manner they see fit, however they ultimately answer to the greater Imperial Government. Nations that have the Protectorate status generally have come to the Empire through political marriages or royal family succession. It is because of the unusual nature in which they have come into the Empire that they are granted a greater level of autonomy then States.

  • Imperial Client States

The Imperial Client State classification is the newest addition into the Imperial Government structure. It is intended to allow the Empire to grow in both size and power without the unnecessary need for conflict. Nations wishing to become a part of the Empire but remain nearly autonomous are granted the title of Client State. With this they are privileged to the same rights and protections of all Imperial States including the large Imperial Military. However they may choose to act completely independently of the greater Imperial government if they choose to do so. Rather than being a subservient state, Clients are treated as independent from the Imperial government in nearly all regards. Client States are granted seats on the Imperial Senate so that they may voice their concerns within the Empire. The only mandated requirements of Client States are that Imperial States be given priority in economic exchanges, remain exempt from tariffs, and receive assistance in times of war or crisis.
