Liberty Alliance is a small region, sparsely populated by only 8 nations.
Throughout Liberty Alliance, traditions are kept strictly throughout the region, punishing upstarts and rabble-rousers harshly. Political freedoms are extended only to close friends and relatives of the leaders of the region's governments. The economy of the region exists only in the imaginations of its members. Denizens tend to pay their taxes quickly and quietly, with a median tax rate of 19%. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the private sector, with on average 37% of the economy comprising the public sector. Commerce is low priority for governments, accounting for an average of -1% of public expenditure, although commerce is generally seen as a source of tax revenue.
Liberty Alliance does not prioritize education in any meaningful way. Criminality is rife within the region, with law enforcement struggling to cope. Governments allocate a meagre -1%, on average, of their budgets to law and order. Denizens have small defense forces. Due to the lack of any Public transport, streets are packed with cars, bikes, and assorted noisy vehicles.
