Musumi

Musumi is a minuscule region, inhabited by a sole nation.

The straight-backed, broad-smiling populace of Musumi eagerly dismissed concerns of oppression. Denizens generally have very few political freedoms, but some limited freedom is afforded to citizens of nations in the region. Families in the region are so obsessed with the economy that the discussion of laffer curves and supply-side reforms over dinner is a regular occurrence in member nations. Denizens tend to pay their taxes quickly and quietly, with a median tax rate of 17%. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the private sector, with on average 24% of the economy comprising the public sector. National governments within the region are more concerned with corporate welfare than the welfare of ordinary citizens, with commerce budgets accounting for an average of 35% of public expenditure.

In Musumi, denizens are afforded a reasonable education, although funding is somewhat wanting. The region's law enforcement officials try hard to combat a relatively high level of crime, but are hampered by a lack of funding. Denizens have very well-funded, well equipped defense forces. Public transport is a popular mode of transport in the region, receiving on average of 13% of total government budgets.

Nobody really knows about the state of administration in Musumi. Observers asked for information, but found nobody was available to take calls. Governments bestow their healthcare departments with a gargantuan amount of funding, with an average of 10% of government budgets across the region being heaped on to healthcare. No welfare is provided in the region. Those unlucky enough to fall into unemployment are forgotten and abandoned. Governments in the region are avowedly atheist - no public funds are allocated to spirituality.

Social inequality is rife amongst the nations within Musumi. Environments within the region are very good, with a healthy balance of denizen's activity and regard for protection of nature.
