In Norfolk, denizens enjoy their civil rights, although not too much, or too freely. The economy of the region is remarkably unremarkable, with members being neither powerhouses nor basket cases. The economies of nations in the region tend to be heavily weighted towards the public sector, with on average only 35% of the economy comprising the private sector. Commerce is a priority for governments, accounting for an average of 4% of public expenditure.
In Norfolk, denizens are afforded a reasonable education, although funding is somewhat wanting. The region's law enforcement is arguably too well-equipped and overzealous, arresting citizens who dare to commit the most minor of infractions.
